Chapter 2-  What Eve alone can tell.

As we read through Genesis, on how God created the world, notice that each creature is more intricate, noble and mysterious that the last. Then something astonishing takes place. God sets his image on the earth. He creates Adam. Nearing the end of the 6th day, end of the Creator’s great labour, as Adam steps forth, yet the Master says that something is not good enough, not right, and that something is Eve.

She is the crescendo, the final astonishing work of God. Woman.

The whole vast world is incomplete without me. Creation reached its zenith in me. Eve has a crucial role to play, a destiny on her own and she too bears the image of God but in a way only the feminine can speak. What can we learn from her?  God wanted to reveal something about himself that cannot be done through Adam so he gave us Eve.

First you’ll discover:

God has a heart for romance

God’s heart for relationship. The vast desire and capacity a woman has for intimate relationships tells us of God’s vast desire and capacity for intimate relationships. God yearns for us, He cares and He has a tender heart.  Not only does he long for us, but he longs to be loved by us.

He longs to share and adventure with us (adventure that cannot be accomplish without him)

Eve has a vital role to play. She is a partner to this great adventure. The longing in the heart of a woman to share life together as a great adventure-that comes from the heart of God, who also longs for this. God is essential and He wants us to need Him-desperately. Eve is irreplaceable. And so you’ll see that women are endowed with fierce devotion, an ability to suffer great hardships, a vision to make the world a better place.

God has a beauty to unveil (A beauty that is captivating and powerfully redemptive)

Beauty. Beauty is the essence of God. God gave Eve a beautiful form and a beautiful spirit. She expresses beauty in both ways. Better, she expresses beauty simply in who she is. Like God, it is her essence.
