Well, I’m happy that life is getting back to normal around here after so much of thinking and talking for the past week! It’s nice to slow things down a bit. 

My papercrafting life hasn’t slowed down much. Can’t wait to see the look on her face =)

Gooood morning! December is approaching and this only means one thing!

I was even more busy after my exams than during. So much to do, but so lil time. Went to Ikea alone lately. Supposed to go with a few friends but ended up, I went alone. Which is fine too. Managed to do what i want to do there.

Spend approximately two hours at Papier to buy materials. No inspiration, thats why took two hours to wait for it to come. I am serious. But it came after that =)

Then I made my way to Jaya 1 to cut my hair! yesss again! and its much shorter now! but well, it feeeeeels sooooo goooooood to trim off the edges. I think I look better in short? I don’t know.

errrgh, yeah, its abit too 'pink' but anyway, I love bright colours. They just brighten up my already lit day =) (my desk in KL)

Lately, i’ve been so inspired by colours. . .

I also have been checking out alot of stores on papers and scrapbook materials, Need to do some research on my upcoming project before i proposed to my investor, Sarah Cheong. Project ‘JL’ i called it.  Need to do research on card making/printing industry too=S. Found ‘ Papier ‘!! This really cool art and craft store in The Curve. It is such a beautiful store filled with beautiful little things that i just lost myself totally within those beautiful things the moment i walked in. (notice my lack of vocabulary =P )

Anyway, i am home!  I realized how much i missed driving long distance when i drove home just now.  These are the few moments of alone-time i enjoy probably because i talk to myself a lot and the many hours of driving gives me the space to do so =P

so, yes I managed to squeeze alil break before a hectic-second-half semester. Brought back all my assignments tho, since its a long weekend. Not going to do much this trip. Probably just bummin around, reading journals, getting those ikan bilis for my friends in Taylors and also renewing my driving lisence that just expired today! =P

oh yeah, i plan to bring my dad out for dinner and a movie! Just the two of us, mcD first then we’ll head down to the local cinema. Its going to be fun if he actually goes with me! heehee!

More than just a mini skirt. . .

I was browsing for ways to wear a short mini skirt. I have one that is shamefully short and i cannot step out of the house without feeling like somebody is peeking from underneath. Its alright to be alil careful since you are revealing a large chunk of your body.I cringe when I see girls wearing mini skirts wrong and i definitely do not want to end up looking anything close to slutty; a mini can be classy when worn correctly.

Before i even realised it, i started browsing for wedding dresses! Woah!!  Somebody once told me, we don’t choose the dress and no, the dress doesn’t choose us either.

We just meet our dresses, like how we just met our men adding that, there is a dress, somewhere out there, waiting for you.

Putting on the right dress is like falling in love all over again.  I, however, have in my mind what sort of dress i would wanna wear on my big day. Hey, who said a young girl cant dream alil. I can feel the overexcitement rising within me as more wedding dresses appear on my screen.  Seeing all these beautiful things, I might just fall dead.

I honestly don’t want a hugeass wedding. It takes me awhile to really understand what defines a  good wedding and of course, the learning doesnt stop here. Its definitely not the dress you are wearing, or the hideous make up your make up artist puts on you thinking that she has done the best job so far and forgive your bridesmaids as they are  just doing their job, telling you that you look like a gem when non of them are actually convinced. Its not about the people your parents are inviting, who knows how many unknown faces come up to you during the reception.  It is also not about the spectacular flower arrangement, cascading light pink and purple lisianthus and the most beautiful 10 tier cake from the best baker in town and gosh! whoever says that you need to walk down the aisle to the sound of a string orchestra?

It can be alil overwhelming at the end so to me, a wedding is nothing but a show. What do i have in mind? A small, intimate romantic wedding will do, where i can move around freely attending to my guest who are made up of my loved ones, close friends and relevant family members. Good food and great music are mandatory of course and there is just one thing that i will never compromise,

I bet God likes weddings too since there is this emphasis on the relationship between His son and the church. In the bible context, weddings are sometimes rarely associated to the coming together of a man or a woman. We are supposed to look at marriage and see the demonstration of an intimate relationship between Christ and the church. God often describe His relationship with his people by choosing marriage as a significant illustration throughout the old testament.  God doesn’t compromise when it comes to His commitment towards His people. Hence, this makes Him the ultimate reference point in a marriage.

Now, do you still think a wedding is all about searching for that one beautiful white dress or how beautiful your wedding turn out in photographs?

If i could, i would name today, ‘Blessings day’!

Why? (duhhh, my finals over adi ma =P )

anyway,

First, i started my morning with this super amazing news from a dear friend of mine. Yes, i am really honored to hear this piece of good news from you and i am glad you are okay. Thank you for always checking on me and thank you for reminding me that god really is all around and he can’t wait to bless us. I am planning on giving you guys a surprise visit soon and I will continue  to keep you and your hubby in prayer always =)

Then i went to see ms woo because she also does scrapbooking and she was showing me some of her collection. Super inspired after seeing all her works. I was like, what have i been doing with all my blardy expensive materials i bought from Aus?? Ish, i shouldnt let my hobby just die off like that. I will embark on new projects i promise! heehee! but seriously lor, i’ve learnt so many tips about scrapbooking today. TIme to put these tips into use!

Met up with my childhood bestfriend today finally!!! what to do, medic student. They dont really have time for you. She also brought her other best friend with her, name Pris and gosh,  i love her. We clicked almost instantly and the next thing we know, we can’t stop talking and when we got tired of talking, we went around 1U snapping crazy photos. Honestly, i havent been doing any crazy stuff lately and boy, it feels so good to let it all out today. Today was awesome dear =). Oh yeah, thanks for the 45 photos you tagged me on facebook ( i know we would love the hat shots in Zara if  we were quick enough to actually take them before the salesgirl came and reprimanded us! heehee!). Waiting for more photos from pris’ camera. So happy to meet pris and your other special friend =P

After dinner, Debbie came and pick me up from 1u and we went dessert hunting. well, it wasn’t really a hunt la. We just drove to Uptown and decided to have cupcakes at WonderMilk! oooohh i really love this place. The moment i walked in, i felt like a child all over again.  The cupcakes were all so colourful and i so wanted to taste each of them. I am definitely coming back  here again! It was soooooo nice talking to you debbie and thanks for the books. Lets continue to keep each other in prayers. Will see you this weekend =)

Embrace the braces?

aaargh, i need to decide! i need to decide! I am quite a decisive person i think. Thats why i dont really go through much tedious decision-making processes because i may just be  jumping right into the first thing that came into my mind thinking that i’ve already given much thought about it. Thats probably why i always ended up buying too many dresses that i don’t need or i forgot that i owned them. oh, ignore what i just said.

So anyway, these has no relevance at all, a series of photos of what i did for the past few months.

P.s I love you

Looking through my external hard disk when I was supposed to be studying for my upcoming test next week. I was deleting some movies from my folder and i stumbled upon ‘P.s I Love you’. I used to think this show wasn’t up to what i have expected also because I decided that the novel was a better preference.  Maybe its the casting. I thought Hillary Swank wasn’t suitable to be Holly Kennedy as she gives a very deep ‘independent, woman-on-top’ feel instead, than to be a frail wife whose husband has succumb to brain tumor, died and she had to start living her own life through a series of letters her dead husband wrote before he goes, until she finally  abandon her fears of falling in love. Before i knew it, I gave this movie another shot as i happily grab my laptop, went to the bed and called it a night. (To be honest, I never really did any work just now anyway).

I paid attention to every single detail in this movie from the moment I click ‘play’. No, this time I never fast forward or anything. I actually enjoyed each moment of the movie until the credit started rolling. I don’t remember crying during the show the last time i watched it, but tonight, it was extremely hard for me to contain the tears.

Simple.

I could not derive any interest nor relate to this movie the first time I watched it because I never understood. Things make more sense now =)

Ah, I am such sucker for romance.

No way I am going to study in the weekend when I am serving, dance workshop and also parents are in KL again to send my sister off. That’s right; she is heading back to Aus after a month of bumming here in Malaysia. Sarah wouldn’t want to go back as much as we want her to stay. But oh well, everything has its timing. I will see her very soon I know =)

Liverpool 2, Chelsea 0

Some really random post again. There are so many beautiful places I wanna visit but let me share with you the top 3 places in the world that I would die for if I have the chance to visit them RIGHT NOW.

Italy, Boston and Liverpool.

Italy was really my dream since I was young. Were inspired at first by the architecture, museums, buildings and restaurant all over Rome. Now, it is more of a romantic place to be with your other half =). Piazza di Spagna, a series of steps with Trinita’ dei Monti church on top and Fontana della Barcaccia fountain at the bottom. A legend says that whoever throws a coin into Fontana di Trevi will return to Rome at least one more time and I was hoping they will help me find true love instead =P. The Vatican city that includes the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, Vatican gardens, St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square. The colosseum of Rome of course and a lot more other attractions that I don’t know of =)

Boston was mainly inspired but the tv series, Ally Mcbeal as this American television series which ran on from 1997 to 2002 was shot there. Christmas there is extremely beautiful. Snow and all by the roadside and people moving up and down in their winter clothing. Sometimes I would imagine myself listening to the carols in my ipod and walking down the busy streets with the others. I cried too many times over some touching episodes and they have left some profound impression in me. Calista Flockhart is pretty though=)

Liverpool was never really a place I want to go to but because I am a huge fan of Liverpool FC, I told myself I must one day step food into Anfield Stadium or whatever new stadium they are going to build soon and experience a football match.  I remember telling Daryl that we must go there with our spouses one day. Very unlikely but hey, its fun just thinking about it.

But we always tell each other, no matter how beautiful a place can be, they are nothing without your loved ones or when you can’t share it with anybody else.

There are so many places I want to travel to after Aus. I was never a travel bug though I used to like FLYING a lot but now the sound of the planes hovering over just brings bad memories. Gosh!but once I get hold of my new DSLR (which I wonder when), hehe things are going to be different!!ooohh baby!~

Indescribable

Yesterday was a good night again. We were at daryl’s house for another round of get-together to watch this video called ‘Indescribable’ by Louie Giglio’s. Highly recommended. I was so amazed by the splendor our God that I was in tears the whole night! (thanks alston for the prayer).

Our God is big and we serve one extravagant God that will not hold back anything good from us. He is beyond our wildest dreams. He do not think like we do and we can never fathom His ways and understanding. Phew, thank God for that =P

Yvonne made tomyam and Alston contributed his blackpepper chicken. Wah..so nice =)We then played ‘Bridge’ until 2am in the morning. It was my first time and I screw up a few rounds. A very clever game I must say. Cannot keep up with the super3..sheesh =)

I lost my earphones la. So difficult to watch movies and listen to music now.

My friends are all leaving for studies this weekend. Sitiawan will soon be a quiet town again. I have another month here until I start uni but this time,I am looking forward to start a brand new semester. Kinda screw up the previous sem, so I hope I will do better this sem and not let anything get into way this time.

Thank you for calling and checking on me.  It was a pleasant surprise actually but abit sudden. I know you guys care a lot for me and please know that I am fine and I am getting better. All things work for the good of those who love Him right?=)

My room is messy again. So lazy to clean up and oh yeah thanks bee lian for visiting me. It is so nice to have you around =). Sorry that you were here for quite a short while and we just lazed around. Also sorry that you din manage to try all the sitiawan delicacies and lucky you! You get to experience the super rare traffic jam in sitiawan! =P

Another Saturday. Don’t really know what to do. I mean I have a lot of things I can do but again, I need inspiration laa. It’s like I am stuck and can’t move on. Brain clog. This feeling is very frustrating. Also, I need to spend more time with mum and less time outside. As I write this, my dad just walked in gave me a huge hug telling me that he will support my every decision. Sigh, just the right thing I need at the right time =)

Ah, this is good. It should be good. It is never easy but i know i can=)
